My students have heard me 'bang on' about this free IELTS Preparation website. It is probably the most comprehensive, free site available. You can practise Writing, Reading, Speaking and Listening. There is a handy section that explains what to expect from the various modules in your IELTS exam, be it Academic or General IELTS. For example for the Writing module Task 1 you may have to describe a graph or diagram, and in Task 2 write an essay.
There are example questions with model answers, but also very useful blog posts at the bottom where students and teachers have discussed how to answer that question better. There are also now Forums on 'Academic Writing Task 1' or 'IELTS Band 7' for example. These are useful if you want to engage and improve faster.
You'll probably spend a lot of your time in the 'Lessons and Tips' section. Here the lessons break down parts of the IELTS Exam and how to answer it in the best way. This site is always improving, and recently they have added free videos and paid for ebooks.
